Language school Montañita – Linguaschools
Situated on the hillside, overlooking bohemian Montañita and its glorious beaches, you will probably spend your coffee breaks “checking out the swell” or getting surf lessons organised with the help of the school’s staff. The actual Spanish learning will be taking place both, in and outdoors in this newly renovated building, with games and interactive learning methods involved and making use of the school’s spectacular roof terrace. Everything here is at close proximity, the beach is just a 3 minute walk away and you can connect with the rest of the world in one of the internet cafés in the town centre or even better, disconnect from it by doing salsa dancing, yoga, diving or discovering the sweet art of doing nothing in a hammock.

Montañita – info
Go, pack your flip flops and board shorts and don’t worry about your surf board, as you can rent one on every corner of this village, being Ecuadors Surf Capital along the ‘Ruta Spondylus’. This small coastal town is so laid back, many travellers get stuck here much longer than planned, whilst enjoying the great surf, the hippie vibe and lively, busy atmosphere.
Studying Spanish can be so easy going, in this former fishing village that has eventually become a haven for surfers and adapted its own alternative lifestyle, embracing the beautiful beaches, turquoise waters, tropical climate & music scene.
Bucket list alert: The Galapagos islands are situated 600 miles off the coast and can be reached via a 2h flight from nearby Guayaquil. One of the best rewards you can give yourself for your Spanish study achievements!
